Velicia

Velicia Gourdin began her creative career as a fashion illustrator and graphic designer. She has continually focused on the portrayal of women of color in her work to raise awareness about the importance of diversity and inclusion not just in today's world but in recalling the accomplishments of their collective pasts. The B-Side Comics is the result of a collaboration between Alfred Sloan, a passionate comic historian and collector, and B. Scott Williams, an artist and creative. Together, we craft original narratives, beginning with the Josephine Baker Super Spy adventure. Alongside a network of fellow creators, we're dedicated to bringing these stories to life and giving back to the comic community that's inspired us.
